This workshop covers the overwhelmingly popular topic of Narcissism. Though social media and current culture likes to label anyone who has caused personal pain a narcissist, we know that this is often overused and misunderstood. This training unpacks the truth about Narcissistic abuse and how to recover from such abuse. This training covers themes of damage and enduring internalizations that might result from narcissistic abuse. This workshop will explore the impact of narcissism in the clinical world, particularly as it relates to client care. This training is designed for all clinicians and is not an EMDR focused workshop.

- Identify Patterns: Recognize the typical engagement patterns in narcissistic abuse, including idealization, devaluation, and discard phases.
- Explore Impact: Examine the emotional, cognitive, and relational effects of narcissistic abuse on survivors.
- Recognize Vulnerability Factors: Identify factors that increase vulnerability to narcissistic abuse, such as attachment styles and unresolved trauma.
- Support Healing: Learn steps and therapeutic goals to help clients recover, including understanding the abuse and fostering self-compassion.
